The reaction of picric acid and the creatinine are not specified, and false creatinine such as Ketone body, ascorbate, pyruvate, glucose and uric acid have an obvious interference on Jaffe's reaction. However, these competitive reactions can be reduced by adjusting the concentration of NaOH and picric acid, reaction temperature and the measure window. Leadman’s improved Jaffe method can realize no interference when the glucose concentration reaches 17mmol/L.
